Aroma has a wonderful team of staff - but did you know that also that there are around sixty people who volunteer their time to keep Aroma running - it's one of the ways that Aroma is special. We have volunteers who wash up, serve food, operate the till, make coffee and tea - not to mention those who support Aroma behind the scenes with accounts, budgets, publicity, health and safety and a whole lot more!
We now have an urgent need for a Finance volunteer.
Have you got a good head for figures? If so, we are looking for a volunteer to join our finance team early in the New Year.
Aroma operates as a Limited Company and a Charity and the overall aim of the role is to maintain an overview of the organisation’s finances and ensure that proper processes are followed. You will be a member of the Aroma Management Group and will liaise with the Manager and other volunteers.
We are a friendly bunch and enjoy drinking coffee and making a difference in the community we live in.
If you have some awareness and experience of financial matters relating to charities, including preparing reports and budgets, that would be great. Computer literacy, especially Word and ideally Excel (for financial reporting) would be an advantage. Training will be provided!
The expected time commitment is around 4-8 hours per month.
